About Me
I have years of experience helping people heal themselves and their relationships after trauma, betrayal, loss, and addictions. I understand problematic relationships with food, sex, money, and religion and can help you create more healthy relationships with these behaviors.
I had the privilege of working with military families for about 6 years. Through experiences with the military communities, I learned the importance of support and community and so much about how people experience losses of all types.

My time as a counselor started in the late 90’s when I worked with abused women and began to understand patterns of abuse in relationships and the traumatic experience of the abused partner. As time went on, I had opportunities to work with foster children, children with mental health struggles and their families, and service members and their family members. During my years of experience as a mental health professional, I’ve worked with people from all walks of life and people with a wide variety of struggles - from big and small traumatic experiences and struggles with mood (anxiety, depression) to problematic sexual behaviors and the pain of betrayal in committed relationships to the terribly de-stabilizing experience of deconstructing one’s religious beliefs and so much more.

I was born and raised in the New Orleans area. While NOLA is definitely a unique place to live, it also comes with its own unique challenges. I understand suffering from king cake deprivation, Saints' loss depressive episodes, and fear of the heat index. But seriously…
I love to take in all that the city has to offer, from trying the newest restaurant to walking along the riverfront with my husband and taking my dogs for long walks in City Park.
